Join artist Rose Wilson within her current exhibition, The Disappearing Farmer, to discuss her artistic journey from the suburbs of Lavington to being a finalist in some of the most prestigious portrait prizes in the country, including the Moran, Black Swan and Archibald. The artist will also demonstrate her unusual and unique artistic style.
Wilson's current exhibition captures the faces of a disappearing generation of Australian farmers from the Victorian highlands, in this series of oil paintings which includes portraits of farm dogs and farming couples.
During this interactive event, Wilson will impart the techniques and tools used to create her unique oil sketches as she discusses her career in art, her love of portraiture, and her upcoming entry in the Archibald Prize.
