The museum’s extensive permanent collection contains almost 3000 items, collected since the inaugural Albury Art Prize in 1947. Today, the collection is focussed on photography, works by Wiradjuri artists, and significant modern and contemporary Australian art, including artists that lived and worked in the Murray region. Works from the permanent collection are included in many exhibitions, as well as shown in the dedicated collection gallery on the ground floor.

Each week, the MAMA Studio holds courses, workshops, and master classes for aspiring artists with varying skill levels and anyone looking to explore their creative side.
