Ingo Kleinert – Relics IV
Ingo Kleinert's Relics IV (1989) was purchased from the Albury National Photographic Prize exhibition in 1989.
Kleinert was born in Bunzlau, Germany, in 1941 and migrated to Australia with his family in 1949. From 1960 to 1963 he studied art in Melbourne. In 1968 he travelled extensively in Europe and then worked in London until he returned to Australia in 1974. He taught at the Canberra School of Art from 1976 to 1996. He currently lives and works in Queanbeyan, NSW.
Relics IV complements the Relics I–V and Topiary I and II series (1989–1990) held by Albury Art Gallery, which are in the same genre and medium and have similar narrative themes.
