Consilience: As the World Turns

Julia Davis' time-lapse video Consilience: As the World Turns, investigated how time and place affects both our sense of embodiment and our perception of ourselves.

In a project that involved an astro-photographer, Davis documented a night-long performance on an inland salt lake.

Projected within a dark room, the work allowed visitors to experience the vastness of the night sky as it slowly rotated in accord with the revolution of the Earth and the performer.
