Join us for a conversation with Wiradjuri, Yorta Yorta, Taungwurrung artist Glennys Briggs, facilitated by exhibition curator Andrea Briggs and centring on Glennys Briggs’ work Possum Skin Cloak within the exhibition Grounded.
Grounded focuses on cultural practices that have been passed down through generations of family members to the artists – Glennys Briggs, Glenda Nicholls, and Dr Treahna Hamm.
Possum Skin Cloak represents the connection between Glennys Briggs’ peoples and the Murray River. It is a container for stories that she will share with us.
Free event, all welcome.
