Join in celebrating the opening of the Museum’s new exhibitions: BOUND and Spence Messih: Minor Truths.

Ruth Davys will offer a Welcome to Country at 5.45pm

BOUND is an exhibition of contemporary thread and textile works by local and international artists. The artists and collaborators featured in BOUND represent a diverse range of practices, explore new ways of working, bring different cultural perspectives and subvert the medium in exciting ways.

Spence Messih: Minor Truths
is the first of a series of new commissions for the Museum’s Atrium gallery. Minor Truths is an installation comprised of kiln formed glass, hand crafted jarrah armatures, text and audio components. Messih’s expansive work suggests the vulnerability of knowledge, with objects and experiences within the work creating a multitude of readings.

Bar will be open throughout the event, cash + eftpos available.
