Join us for the opening of Esperanto, a major solo exhibition by artist Newell Harry. Esperanto seeks a conversation across place, culture, and linguistic difference. An expansive installation comprising woven pandanus gift mats, photographs, works on paper, objects and artefacts, books and historical paraphernalia are presented alongside texts and an archival film program with daily screenings.

The exhibition features a new photographic commission as well as significant works from public and private collections including MAMA’s permanent Collection and the artist’s personal archive.
