Welcome to Sensory Art School!
Every week, kids engage in short sensory art making sessions. These activities stimulate children’s senses in a calm, supportive and fun environment.
Over 8 weeks each term, kids will engage in activities that stimulate their sense of touch, smell, sight and hearing. Lessons are designed to activate kids love for art as well as develop their mindfulness skills.
Sensory Art School will provide an inclusive environment by taking into consideration the lighting, noise and individual needs of all children. Kids are introduced to art materials while engaging in sensory play in a controlled environment. These activities are beneficial in improving children’s fine motor skills while having fun and being creative!
Each class is 45 minutes long, allowing time for kids to spend time learning, experimenting, and being in their inner creative world. Classes are led by experienced tertiary art-trained educators. Students will have the opportunity to interact with visiting artists, current exhibitions and artworks in the Museum’s permanent collection throughout the year.
All materials provided, BYO apron or old shirt for artmaking.
Eligible for NSW Creative Kids vouchers.
