Kids Art School (Grade 4-6)

Welcome to Kids Art School!

Every week, kids enjoy extended art making sessions, going deep into skill building and creative expression as they gradually build artistic skills.

Over 8 weeks each term, kids will move through activities that build their core skills, including drawing, painting, and sculpture. Kids are supported to move through the skills and activities at their own pace, with their own creative expression. Material exploration, colour theory, and composition will be explored across all mediums. Specialist workshops will be explored throughout the year including printmaking, ceramics, mixed media, and photography.

Each class is 1.5 hours long, allowing time for kids to spend time learning, experimenting, and being in their inner creative world. Classes are led by experienced tertiary art-trained educators. Students will have the opportunity to interact with visiting artists, current exhibitions and artworks in the museum’s permanent collection throughout the year.

All materials provided, BYO apron or old shirt for artmaking.
