MAMA is collaborating with grade 3-4 students from local primary schools to celebrate the National Photography Prize 2026.

In this program, students investigate a series of artworks on display before responding through hands-on activities.

Participants are invited to explore light, shadow, colour and transparency to construct a unique image, with their artworks forming a group exhibition in the MAMA Learning Lane. The students’ work will be on display for the remaining duration of the National Photography Prize 2026.

The hands-on activities are inspired by the work and practice of three finalists in the National Photography Prize 2026: Alex Walker, Lisa Stonham and Sarah Rhodes.
