Digital Photography for Teens with Ben Eyles
This digital photography course is designed for teens (12-18 years) to gain confidence with their own camera and learn the best photo editing skills.
Led by local photographer Ben Eyles, students will be shown how to use their digital camera, how to use light, space, and composition, and how to experiment with photo editing apps and finalise their personal photographic images.
Teens will come out of this course with full, creative control of their camera, taking their skills beyond the base level.
Key topics include
Camera Control: Master shutter speed, aperture, and the exposure triangle, and experiment with the camera flash and LED lighting.
Genres and History: Explore photographic genres that matter to what you want to shoot, including portraits and creative portraiture, macro photography, landscape photography, and artistic photography, with a brief history of photography to learn about how these photographic methods came to be.
Digital Workflow: Get introduced to photo editing apps like Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Affinity. Students will learn how to prepare and finalise images for printing or posting online so they look amazing wherever they are seen.
