Murray Art Museum Albury is thrilled to announce winning the Engagement Program of the Year at the Museums and Galleries of NSW IMAGinE Awards.

TABLE, presented as part of the 2021-22 major exhibition SIMMER was the winning program. This program invited chefs and cooks from our local community to demonstrate the preparation of two special recipes live in the Museum.

The weekly program gave an opportunity for each cook to speak directly to audiences about family, food, culture and place. We would like to extend our thanks to the wonderful cooks that so generously participated in this program: Aruna Gandhi, Marites Roque Neal, Gabriel Sanchez, haha vegan, and Inuuywa Mama, alongside program leads Nanette Orly (Curator) & Sophie Holvast (Engagement).

The recipes from TABLE were combined together with recipes from the exhibiting artists in SIMMER to form a cookbook/catalogue of the show.

The IMAGinE Awards are a wonderful annual opportunity to celebrate the fresh, original exhibitions and programs being generated by Museums & Galleries across NSW. We’re thrilled to bringing home the honour this year, amongst some strong nominees.
