Sustainable Weaving with Janet Bromley
Enjoy a morning of sustainable weaving with Janet Bromley, Yorta Yorta woman and artist featured in our current exhibition BOUND. Participants will be guided through the steps to create a small woven wall hanging, using recycled textiles and household objects.
Celebrating Janet’s focus of sourcing materials from op-shops that would otherwise end up as landfill, participants will be encouraged to bring fabric scraps from home - the sharing of materials ensures the finished weavings can include variations of colour, texture and pattern.
If you are keen to learn a new creative skill and are interested in environmental sustainability in clothing, this workshop is perfect for you!
This workshop is presented as part of our summer exhibition BOUND public programming. Aimed at 18+ and is subsidised.
