Enjoy an insight into the creativity, innovation and unique perspectives of young people from the Murray region, with our Year 12 Art Show.

Students from Beechworth, Corowa, Walla Walla, Tallangatta, Albury and Wodonga were invited to participate in this annual showcase, with a shortlist selected by a panel of local curators.

This was the first time, for many of the young artists, to have their work publicly displayed simply as an artwork, an object to be appreciated, rather than the result of an assessment task. It was a chance to gain feedback on their work outside of the education environment. The exhibition also provided insight into the experience of exhibiting artists, with both the thrill and vulnerability that came with producing (often very personal) artworks that were put out for public review.

A favourite exhibition among the local community, as an opportunity to celebrate the quality and diversity of works that were being produced at local schools, and a chance to reflect upon the valuable role artistic practice played in the development of self-identity.

Presented in collaboration with ArtsSpace Wodonga.

Featured work from Albury High School, Catholic College Wodonga, Galen Catholic College, James Fallon High School, Murray High School, Tallangatta Secondary College, The Scots School Albury, Victory Lutheran College, Wodonga Senior Secondary College and Xavier Catholic College
