Step inside the studio of North East Victorian artist Catherine Stewart, whose exhibition Common Ground is currently on display at MAMA. This special visit offers an intimate opportunity to see where Stewart’s large‑scale paintings and collaged works take shape.
Raised near Lake Mungo and now based in Wooragee, Stewart’s practice draws deep connections between the landscapes that have shaped her life. During this visit, Stewart will share insights into her practice, her creative inspiration and its relationship to place, and her experience building a career as a full‑time artist.
Guests will have the chance to view works in progress, hear directly from the artist about her current projects, and gain a deeper understanding of the ideas that underpin Common Ground.
